A thought:
If people would stop being fixated on 'moral' issues and actually concentrate on being good practitioners of their faiths, there wouldn't be this kind of intolerance for others, who may not believe as they do.

These 'moral' issues are a distraction in the relationship between an individual and their faith. I figure, once they actually become good practitioners, things like abortion, gay rights, women clergy, poverty and other injustices, will find their answers.
Being fervent in those issues, though I can respect that, don't help us get along with our neighbors, make friends outside our communities, show that we are all good people -- regardless of what we worship -- who have compassion, mercy, love and kindness, the ingredients of tolerance and acceptance.
Yes, I learned this from 'Little Mosque', on CBC, Hulu and Pivot.
