I had a great first day at DAK. Got the park orientation, "DAKlimation". It was re-energizing. As I heard about the environment, the theming of the park, it was so awesome. I had a great time!
Met some people, and it was great hanging out with them, as we were trying to keep from killing some jackass that couldn't stop talking, and interrupting the facilitators. It was a facilitator's worst nightmare when you have a participant like that, since I've been there before. As a facilitator of the Studios equivalent, I had to keep my mouth shut. The three of us were counting how many times this guy kept talking. However, I think this guy in retrospect had a non-apparent disability. But it was so damn annoying.
After the park tour, bumping into people I knew, including a trainee at the Studios that yanked on my shirt to get my attention. I felt better about being at DAK, even though, the circumstances in which I had to go were less than optimal.
I tried on my costume. Even though it looks like a Brazilian Mardi Gras no-no, I actually looked good in it. Another thing I feel better about.
Looking forward to starting my training on Wednesday.
With this blog, I share things about my worldview, for all to read and see, to enhance people's understanding of me and the world. Since I have an opinion and a big mouth, I strongly feel the need to speak up and out about things that are important to me, regardless of the risks I take to do so.

HauntCon in Orlando
Though we were in a ghetto Ramada resort, we had fun. Met some great people, reconnected with others, and had a gay old time. We shared the booth with Joel and Dawn, and I think we both generated a lot of traffic. Woo hoo. Here's a pic of us in the booth!
Yes, the head is mine.... For $125, you can have one just like it! :-)
